Terms of use
These terms govern your use of the binsout app and website (together, "binsout"), operated by Smith Built Concepts. By using binsout you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
What binsout is
binsout is a free tool that helps you find your local council's bin collection and kerbside large item schedules, and reminds you locally on your device. It is an information service for your convenience. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any council or government body.
Accuracy
Schedules are sourced from councils' own published data and may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong, including after public holidays or service changes. binsout is provided on a best effort basis with no guarantee of accuracy or availability. Always confirm collection days and accepted items with your council before relying on them. You use binsout at your own risk.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use binsout for any unlawful purpose, or to breach any council's terms of use;
- scrape, overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to binsout or the systems it relies on;
- copy, resell, or redistribute the service or its data as your own product.
Data and intellectual property
Council boundaries and address data are derived from Geoscape Administrative Boundaries and G-NAF, © Geoscape Australia, licensed under CC BY 4.0. Collection schedules belong to the respective councils. The binsout name, brand, app, and website are owned by Smith Built Concepts. These terms grant you a personal, non exclusive, non transferable licence to use binsout for your own bin and waste planning.
Privacy
binsout is built to collect as little as possible. There are no accounts and we do not track you. See our privacy policy for details.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Smith Built Concepts is not liable for any loss, damage, missed collection, fine, or inconvenience arising from your use of, or reliance on, binsout. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes
We may update binsout or these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
